Star Sculptures: 1998-03
With the STAR series starting in 1998 and continuing to 2004, I departed from the usual system of consistently producing the same form within a series and began changing the rhythm of the edges of each structure. Each column has the shape of an eight-point star if viewed from the top or bottom (transverse views), and each twist upward, narrow at the base and wider at the top. All are a height of around eight feet except for the very first of this series, which is smaller.
